MattersAxis LLC is a veteran-owned Nevada business providing project-based digital matter organization for solo attorneys and small law firms. I combine military discipline, technical experience, adaptability, and firsthand knowledge of law-office operations to bring structure to offices, digital case files, discovery data, and electronic records.
Every accepted project has a defined scope, price, and delivery date. Work is performed primarily during evenings and weekends according to the engaging attorney's written instructions.
Built on Disciplined Systems
I served nine years in the United States Army as a Black Hawk crew chief and mechanic. Aviation maintenance taught me that systems, documentation, and careful quality control matter when the work does. After leaving the Army, I continued in technical service roles involving banking equipment, ATM systems, and X-ray equipment. Each position required methodical troubleshooting, accurate documentation, and dependable execution. Those principles form the operational foundation of MattersAxis.
Experience Inside a Small Law Office
My experience working inside a small Nevada law office showed me how quickly digital matter information can become difficult to manage. Discovery productions, email exports, electronic records, photographs, videos, and other digital media often arrive from multiple sources with inconsistent filenames and no reliable structure. Attorneys and legal staff can lose valuable time simply determining what they have and where it belongs. MattersAxis was created to address that operational problem through clearly defined digital-file projects.
The MattersAxis Role
MattersAxis accepts defined digital-file projects, including digital matter organization; folder restructuring and standardized file naming; discovery-data and digital-media inventories; attorney-directed OCR, PDF processing, and Bates numbering; digital matter migrations, closeouts, and archival organization; and exception and completion reports. The engaging attorney retains responsibility for all legal decisions, deadlines, production selections, and final review.
Project-Based and After Hours
MattersAxis is an asynchronous, project-based service—not a remote staffing or virtual legal-assistant service. Project work is performed primarily during evenings and weekends. Before work begins, the law firm receives a written scope, price, and delivery date. This model allows a firm to send a defined digital-organization project without committing to another employee or an ongoing service arrangement.
Clear Professional Boundaries
MattersAxis is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, legal representation, legal research, substantive legal-document preparation, relevance or privilege review, physical document scanning, forensic examinations, or expert-witness services. Source files remain unchanged, work is performed from approved copies whenever practical, and no files are deleted without written authorization. Material exceptions and scope questions are documented for the engaging attorney.
